HERS Registry Training for the Building Departments.
This webinar provides an overview of the 2019 Energy Code and how it applies to accessory dwelling units (ADUs). Attendees learn the Energy Code’s classification of different types of ADUs, including newly constructed ADUs, conversions of existing structures, and alterations. Discussion covers how the requirements vary depending on the classification and size of construction, along with how requirements have changed related to whole building ventilation for ADUs, envelope requirements, and more.
